The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Sub-Committee for Nun Affairs held on November 1 a training conference on pagoda management and presentation skills for nuns from the North region at Bo De pagoda in Hanoi.
The event saw the participation of Vice President of the VBS Executive Council Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu and Most Venerable Head of the VBS Committee for Information and Communications Thích Gia Quang, Superior Nun Deputy Head of the VBS Sub-Committee for Nuns Affairs in charge of Northern region Thích Đàm Nghiêm, and nuns from 29 provinces and cities in the Northern region.
Distinguished guests at the event included Dr. Bùi Hữu Dược, Director of Buddhist Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, and representatives from concerning municipal authorities.
The three-day event covered topics relating the professional management of Buddhist worshipping places as well as presentation skills for participating nuns.
Speaking at the event, Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang praised Buddhist nuns for their practical contributions in Buddhist affairs and encouraged them to continue promoting fine traditions for Buddhist development.
