The restoration of My Son Sanctuary (ancient Cham towers) - the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in Quang Nam province’s Duy Xuyen district will take place in many phases and last for 5 years.
According to the My Son Cultural Heritage’s Management Board, Indian experts and Vietnamese partners are carrying out the excavation, offering specific solutions to restoration of the K and H towers in the core area of the heritage complex.
The restoration project of My Son Sanctuary for implementing the restoration of K, H and A towers has a total budget of more than VND 60 billion, of which over VND 50 billion donated by the Indian Government.
As reported, this restoration project will be done in several stages and last for five years. During this phase, the excavation and restoration of towers of K and H is carried out according to the principle of “restoration right after excavation” in order to maintain and restore the core values of the heritage.
