The Ministry of Home Affairs held on December 20 an online national conference in Hanoi for reviewing the home affairs sector’s performance 2023 and mapping out plans of activities for 2024.

The event taking place from Hanoi saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang, Minister of Home Affairs Phạm Thị Thanh Trà, all deputies of the home affairs ministry, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Hoài Bắc, and representatives of concerning ministries and central agencies.

During the conference, participants raised comments relating to the public administrative apparatus and reform, contributing to clarify the home affairs sector’s plans of activities for 2024.

Addressing at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang spoke highly of achievements of the whole home affairs sector in 2023, especially in the field of digital transformation.
Regarding religions affairs, the deputy prime minister highlighted the key task to ensure the people's right to freedom of belief according to the Party's policies, including doing a good job of forecasting the situation of belief and religion and proposing suitable measures, guiding and creating favourable conditions for religious organizations and communities to practice religion and live following the motto “good secular and religious life.
