Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival taking place from November 2-3 in Hung Nguyen district’s Hung Thich commune of Nghe An province drew large numbers of locals and visitors.
Ong Hoang Muoi Temple was built during the late Lê dynasty in 17th century. The temple located in Hung Thinh commune’s Xuan Am hamlet was recognized as a historical and cultural relic of Nghe An province in 2002.

Ong Hoang Muoi Festival is annually held from the 9th – 10th of the tenth lunar month, with the aim to honor values of the traditional culture which shows the moral principle of “remembering its source while drinking water”, and upholding the patriotic spirit among people.
The festival 2022 featured ceremonies of proclamation, processions, offerings, ordainment announcement and thanksgivings, and festive activities of dropping colored lanterns in Moc river, performances of folk songs and traditional sports of women's volleyball, boat race and tug of war, etc.
