From June 16-18, about 35,000 Islamic and Bà-ni Islamic followers from seven Cham villages in districts of Ninh Hai, Ninh Phuoc, Thuan Nam and Ninh Son celebrated Ramadan festival 2015.
During the festival, Muslims kept disciplines and abstained from food and drink during the daytime in order to share with poor people, develop fine characteristics, be helpful to the poor. On the evening of June 18, the dignitaries conducted fasting month rituals to pray for a prosperous country, nice weather and crops.
In recent years, the Party, State and authorities in Ninh Thuan province paid due attention to Cham villages with inclusion of assistance programs, such as housing supports, provision of clean water, building of roads and schools…. contributing to the local social economic development and preservation of the ethnic tradition and culture.
