Ninh Binh province: Grand ceremony held for Buddhist Parents Day festival and gratitude to Vietnam heroic mothers

On September 6, Ninh Binh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in collaboration with Xuan Truong construction company solemnly held a grand ceremony for the Buddhist Parents Day festival 2015 and gratitude to the Vietnam’s heroic mothers.
Attending the ceremony included dignitaries from the Central and provincial VBS and nearly 4000 Buddhists inside and outside the province.
Local officials at the event included General Secretary of Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh, and Vietnam heroic mothers in Ninh Binh province.
At the ceremony, participating delegates and Buddhists learnt about the meaning of Buddhist Parents Day (Vu Lan) and conducted the ritual of presenting red and white roses as a symbol of expressing gratitude to the Parents .
On this occasion, Ninh Binh provincial VBS Executive Committee, Bai Dinh pagoda and Xuan Truong construction company presented 82 gift sets to Vietnam heroic mothers in the locality.
