Eight new deacons from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue and six new deacons from the archdiocese were ordained at a solemn ceremony held on March 19 in Hue Archdiocese.

The ordainment ceremony was presided by Archbishop President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, and joint by large numbers of priests, relatives of new deacons and Catholic followers in the Archdiocese.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh performed ordainment rituals and gave his blessings to the new priests and deacons.
The Archdiocese also celebrated St. Joseph’s Day on the same day.
