The stone-laying ceremony for the church of Plot 6 Parish under Phu Cuong Diocese located in HCM City’s Cu Chi district was held on October 4.
The ceremony saw the participation of Bishop of the diocese Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước, Priest Superior General Simon Nguyễn Văn Thu, 43 priests, and about 1,200 clergymen, clergywomen and followers from parishes of Phu Cuong Diocese.
Reportedly, the Plot 6 chapel was officially promoted to the parish-level church on October 1 by Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước.
During the ceremony, the bishop of the diocese initiated religious rites for the construction of the parish church.
