The ceremony was presided by Chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam cum Archbishop of Hue Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh and attended by representatives local authorities and large numbers of priests and followers in the arcdiocese.

According to Priest Head of Cang My Chanh Parish Joseph Huỳnh Đình Hào, the parish currently has 50 Catholic families with about 300 followers, and the reconstruction of the parish church  was started in April, 2015./.
