Attending the ceremony included Auxiliary Bishop of Vinh diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Viên, Catholic priests and followers from Nghi Dong Catholic community and Nghi Loc parish.

At the inauguration

The new church with a Gothic design of 14.5 meter wide, 40 meter long and 41 meter high was completed after 3 years of construction. The total investment of the construction is contributed by Catholic followers of Nghi Loc parish.

Nghi Dong Catholic community was established in 2010. It currently has 173 Catholic households with about seven hundred Catholics.
