New bridge with Buddhist support inaugurated in Tien Giang

A bridge built with supports of followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism was formally inaugurated at a ceremony held on October 29 in Tan Phong commune in Tien Giang province’s Lai Cay district.

The inauguration ceremony saw the attendance of Head of the Representative Board of Hòa Hảo Buddhism in Tien Giang province Võ Văn Thượng, and large numbers of Hoa Hao Buddhist followers and locals.

As reported, the new bridge was designed by a Hoa Hao Buddhist believer and its building materials was fully provided by Hoa Hao Buddhist Ngoc Duyên from Ho Chi Minh city.

The bridge has the 36 meters long, 3.2 meters wide and has been completed after one month at the cost of  VND 292 million.

On this occasion, Hoa Hao Buddhist Ngoc Duyên presented 60 gift sets to poor pupils of primary and secondary schools in Tan Phong commune.
