Attending the national congress were members of the Caodai church’s High Council and Executive Committee, and 267 delegates representing followers of the church from 23 provinces and cities in the country.

Distinguished guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng and representatives from local authorities and 11 organizations of other religions in the province.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng hailed the contributions of the Caodai church in the wars for national independence, as well as in course of national construction and defense. The GCRA leader also called on followers of the Correction-Path Caodai Church to uphold fine traditions for strengthening unity and making practical contributions to socio-economic development in the country.

The Correction-Path Caodai Church was granted legal recognition in 1997. For the past 20 years, the Caodai sect has gradually strengthened its organization structure from the central to local level, recorded stable development and proactively taken part in social movements and programs.
