MOHA holds seminar on organizational structure of state administration on religious affairs

The Ministry of Home Affairs held on August 28 a seminar on the organizational structure of the state administration on religious affairs in Ho Chi Minh city.

The event was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyễn Trọng Thừa and Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thanh Hà, and attended by representatives from concerning central agencies, heads of the provincial-level People's Committee, Department of Home Affairs and Religious Committee from 32 Southern provinces and cities.

The meeting focused on discussion of the current apparatus and structure of the state administration on religious affairs, pointed outs limitations and discrepancies, as well as proposed solutions to these problems. In addition, the seminar participants also commented on the two draft decrees for detailing and providing measures for the implementation of Law on Belief and Religion and providing sanctions for administrative violation of the law on belief and religion.
