At Ngọc Phước pagoda (in Dinh Yen commune, Lap Vo dist) the Buddhist Parent Day Festival was held, attracting hundreds of Buddhists to attend and make offerings to 40 dignitaries.
This is an opportunity for Buddhists to show their filial piety to their parents by worshipping the Buddha, offering to the Triple Jam, releasing of living creatures, helping poor people... In all above-mentioned works, Buddhists prayed for their parents to have a long and happy life.
Buddhist Parent Day Festival is a traditional beautiful feature of Buddhism, showing not only filial piety to their parents, but also gratitude to the Triple Jam, country and mankind.
