Ly Son church was built in 1972, due to time and harsh weather in Ly Son island, the church degraded seriously. In 2012, Ly Son parish held the stone-laying ceremony for the construction of its new church. On August 13th, 2014, the parish community organized a ceremony for inauguration and consecration of the new church.
The ceremony was chaired by Bishop Nguyễn Văn Khôi, Bishop of Quy Nhon Diocese, and joint by Archbishop Leopoldo Girelii, non-resident special envoy of the Vatican to Vietnam. /.
