From August 4 to 8, 2014, at the Pastoral Centre of Ho Chi Minh diocese (No. 6 Bis Ton Duc Thang street, Ben Nghe ward, district 1, Ho Chi Minh city), the Vietnam Lovers of the Holy Cross Congregation held a spiritual refresher course for sisters with the title “New Family Evangelization”
Attending the course were 310 sisters from 24 Vietnam Lovers of the Holy Cross Congregations, 3 Congregations in Thailand and a Congregation in Cambodia. Representatives from the Department of Catholic Affairs of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs joint and congratulated the Congregation.
Bishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm chaired the opening ceremony. Later, sisters commemorated Bishop Lambert de la Motte - founder of the Vietnam Lovers of the Holy Cross Congregation as well as the first missionary of the Vietnam Lovers of the Holy Cross Congregation ordained as a bishop in Vietnam
The main contents of this course covered themes for new evangelization of family, including 5 main preventations namely: "Cross towards evangelization" by Bishop Nguyễn Văn Khảm, "Loving family" by Priest Nguyễn Anh Tuấn; "Protecting life in the family" by Doctor Lan Hải; "Missionary family" by Bishop Anthony Vũ Huy Chương and "Sisters of the Lovers of Holy Cross live for New Evangelization in community life” by Priest Phi Khanh.
