Legion of Mary congregation under My Tho diocese held on September 1 a ceremony to celebrate its 96th founding anniversary at My Tho diocese's pastoral centre in Tien Giang province's My Tho city.
The Legion of Mary was founded by Br. Frank Duff on September 7, 1921 at Myra House, Francis Street, in Dublin.
The ceremony was presided by Bishop of the diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, and attended by priests, members of Legio Mariae congregation and about 1,000 followers from the parishes in the diocese.
The Legion of Mary congregation also marked the 37th anniversary of priesthood ordination and three years in office of Bishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, current Bishop of My Tho diocese.
