Party and State leaders came to polling stations to cast ballots to elect deputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-level People's Councils on Sunday morning.
Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng arrived at polling station No. 4 of Nguyen Du ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi, on May 23 morning to exercise the voting right.
Talking to local and foreign reporters after voting, Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng said he expects all of those elected to the 15th Legislature and all-level People’s Councils will do their utmost for the sake of the people and the country, fulfilling their responsibilities and duties in line with the Constitution and laws.

This is the 15th and the largest-ever general elections, with nearly 70 million voters who will select 500 deputies to the 15th NA, nearly 4,000 deputies to provincial-level People’s Councils, and over 240,000 others to communal-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure, according to Party General Secretary Trọng.

Speaking to reporters after voting, Pham emphasized that the most important task is to organize the elections in an objective, fair, open and transparent manner in accordance with law so that voters nationwide could select the most competent and qualified candidates to the National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels.
