Lam Dong provincial authorities pay homage to Most Venerable Thích Toàn Đức

Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong provincial Party’s Committee Trần Đức Quận led a delegation on November 23 to pay last respects to Most Venerable Thích Toàn Đức, who passed away on November 10 at the age of 79.

Most Venerable Thích Toàn Đức was born in 1940 at Tru Tri commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province. He passed away on November 11 in Houston city, Texas State of the U.S.A at the age of 79. He has held many positions including Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Chapter in Lam Dong province. The Most Venerable has also been awarded certificates of merit by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Lam Dong provincial authorities for his practical contributions to Buddhism and the society.

Writing on the funeral book, Deputy Secretary Trần Đức Quận expressed deep condolences, stating that Most Venerable Thích Toàn Đức was a good example of a dignitary who devotedly cared for the development of Buddhism and the nation.

Earlier, the delegation also laid a wreath sent by Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai for paying homage to Most Venerable Thích Toàn Đức.
