Lam Dong province: Protestant Representative Committee holds annual spiritual refreshment conference

Lam Dong provincial Representative Committee under the General Confederation of Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (ECVN) (Southern) opened on June 19 a spiritual refreshment conference 2015 for local dignitaries and deacons at Da Lat Protestant church in Da Lat city.
Attending the conference were Pastors from the ECVN Executive Committee, the provincial Representative Committee and over 5,000 dignitaries, deacons and followers in the locality.
Local officials at the conference included Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đường Anh Ngữ, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ngô Văn Đức acknowledged the Representative Committee’s contributions in patriotic emulation movements for socio-economic development, security and order in the locality. He also expressed his hope that the Protestant dignitaries and deacons would continue to mobilize followers to actively take part in movements launched by local authorities for hunger eradication, poverty reduction and social cohesion in local communities, as well as conduct religious activities under the motto “Living with the Gospel, worshipping God, serving the Fatherland and the Nation”./.
