On September 17th, 2014, Phan Lam parish under Hai Phong diocese (Dao Duong commune, An Thi district, Hung Yen province) solemnly inaugurated a new church. Attending the inaugurating ceremony were Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident special envoy of the Vatican in Vietnam, Bishop Vũ Văn Thiên of Hai Phong diocese, 15 priests, representatives of local authorities and Catholic followers.
The new church with 37m long, 12m wide and 36m high tower has been built with Gothic architecture in combination with modern architecture. Phan Lam commune was established in 1916 under Dao Xa parish. Until now, Phan Lam parish has 610 believers with 2 communes: Boi Khe (200 followers) and An Duong (90 followers).
