Hung Thuan Temple chapter of Pure-Land Buddhist Association in Kien Giang convenes general meeting

The 3rd general meeting of Hung Thuan Temple chapter under the Pure-Land Buddhist Association in Tien Giang province’s Giong Rieng district was held on June 29.
Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Pure-Land Buddhist Association’s Central Executive Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Ánh, Head of the Association’s executive committee in the province Thái Thành Tâm, representative from the executive boards of the Buddhist association’s chapters in the province and nearly 60 delegates representing followers of the Hung Thuan Temple chapter.
Local guests at the event’s opening ceremony included local authorities’ representatives.
The meeting elected the new executive board of the Hung Thuan Temple chapter for the 2018 – 2023 tenure with Mr. Phạm Văn Sáng reselected as Head of the board.
According to the meeting report, during the 2013-2018 tenure, the Hung Thuan Temple chapter contributed about one billion VND to social charities.
