Honoring typical Catholics in Da Nang

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Da Nang city held on November 12 a meeting praising typical Catholics for their contribution in the city in the 2014-2019 period.

As reported at the event, Catholics in the city have made many practical contributions for socio-economic development in the city over the past five years. They have contributed over 30 billion VND to social charitable activities. Besides, local Catholics supported over 3 billion VND to disadvantaged students with excellent school results, and distributed about 2,000 leaflets promoting environment protection at 17 Catholic concentrated residential areas.

On the occasion, local authorities presented certificates of commendation to nine Catholic groups and 35 individuals for practical contributions to the development of the locality in the past five years.
