Honoring 71 religious volunteers joining frontline medical staff in Ho Chi Minh City

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the municipal Committee for Religious Affairs and the municipal Commission for Mass Mobilization held on October 22 a ceremony to welcome and honor religious volunteers who have completed their voluntary service of supporting the Covid-19 prevention and control at hospitals in the city.  

The event was held at three locations of the Thu Duc municipal Children's House, the Tan Binh district Exhibition and Fair Center, and the District 7 Administrative Center.

At the Thu Duc municipal Children's House, the ceremony welcomed 34 religious volunteers comprising of 22 Buddhists, 7 Protestants and 5 Catholics. These volunteers have supported the frontline forces to fight the epidemic at the Covid-19 Intensive Care Hospital in the city.

At the Tan Binh Exhibition and Fair Center, the ceremony welcomed and honored 17 Catholic volunteers who served at the Tan Binh Multi-level Field Hospital for Covid-19 Treatment belonging to the district People's Committee.

During the ceremony, 20 Catholic volunteers who took care of Covid-19 patients at the No. 1 Covid-19 Treatment Field Hospital in District 7 were warmly welcomed and honored at the district Administrative Center.

As of October 22, the Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City has welcomed and honored 473 religious volunteers who completed their voluntary service to support the frontline forces against the Covid-19 at hospitals in the city.
