The home affairs official accompanied by Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Nga and Vice Chairwoman of Soc Trang provincial People’s Committee Huỳnh Thị Diễm Ngọc was welcomed by Most Venerable Tăng Nô, Deputy Head of the solidarity asociation of patriotic Buddhist monks in the province cum Abbot of Khleang pagoda.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng extended warm celebration of Khmer New Year festival to Khmer monks and lay Buddhists in the province, and affirmed that the Party and State have been making efforts to promote national target programs on socio-economic development for people of ethnic minorities and in mountainous areas, including Khmer people.

Speaking with the guests, Senior Venerable Trần Văn Tha, Chief of the Buddhist solidarity asociation’s office took the chance to thank the visiting delegation as well as favorable conditions created by the Party and the State for religious practices and the daily life of Khmer people over the past years.
