On August 17, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) celebrated its 70th anniversary (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2015) and organized its third Patriotic Emulation Congress.
Attending the ceremony included Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, representatives from ministries, central agencies and MoHA’s formers leaders and all officials and staffs.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc praised the ministry’s contributions over the past 70 years. He also urged the Ministry to focus on mechanism building to improve state management, speed up the public administration reform program, work closely with other related State bodies in building an e-Government in the administration reform, propose solutions to address shortcomings in wages and enhance religious affairs and foreign affairs in the period of integration, industrialization and modernization.
On behalf of the Party and State, Deputy Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc presented Ho Chi Minh Order to the MoHA and the Independence Medal to former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Dĩnh. Two former MoHA department’s leaders were also awarded the Independence Medal for their outstanding achievements.
