Hoa Hao Buddhist community in Dong Thap reviews six-month implementation of environmental protection program

The Executive Board of Hoa Hao Buddhism in Thanh Binh district’s Thanh Binh town of Dong Thap province has reviewed the six-month implementation of a program on environmental protection launched in the locality.
Attending the meeting were representatives of local authorities and 49 members of the program called “Hoa Hao Buddhist Club for environmental protection and development of clean-green-beautiful households.
The meeting reviewed implementation activities of the program in the first half 2020, including the dissemination and guidance for Hoa Hao Buddhist followers and locals to protect environment by collecting garbage, and not littering into drains, etc.
On the occasion, the Hoa Hao Buddhist’s executive board has also collaborated with the Public Security Unit in the district to communicate about the crime and social evils prevention and counter to local followers.
