In the field of education, over the past years, the district’s parishes have provided 115 scholarships to poor students with a total of 177 million VND; Tong Viet Buong parish organized free English classes to 65 students. Besides, Catholic followers provided supports to students from other provinces coming to the city for the university entrance exams including accommodation assistance, free meals and transportation guides.

In the health sector, the parishes have conducted medical examination and provided free medicines to the poor in the locality and remote areas with the total amount of over 750 million VND.

Besides, Catholics have actively made practical contributions to the building of the local administration and socio-economic development in the district.
