Ho Chi Minh city: Archdiocese Caritas conducts medical charity for the poor in Phu Binh parish

On April 10, the Caritas of Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) Archdiocese organized health-checks and free distribution of medicines to poor people at Phu Binh church of Phu Tho Deanery in HCMC.
The charity program was conducted in collaboration with Phu Tho Deanery, a medical group of HCMC Archdiocese and several staff of Mount Alvernial Hospital from Singapore.
This activity was part of a program for community’s health care undertaken by the Caritas of the HCM city Archdiocese aimed at supporting healthcare for the poor and those with special circumstances.
The medical team included 15 Vietnamese doctors, 10 specialists from Mount Alvernial Hospital and a number of volunteers with expertise in pharmacy.
The delegation conducted health-check and free distribution of medicines for over 300 poor people, regardless of their religious background. Caritas of HCMC Archdiocese also presented gifts, including milk and cereal, to participating people.
