Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Ánh Chức handed over a decision by Ministry of the Home Affairs officially recognizing the Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhist Association as the religious organization, at a ceremony held on September 9.
The event taking place in An Binh temple located in Kien Luong district of Kien Giang province.

During the event, while extending congratulations to Rev. President of the Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhist Association Nguyễn Hiền Lương and all followers of the association, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ánh Chức expressed hope that the Buddhist association would continue made more practical contributions for socio-economic development in the country.
Rev. President Nguyễn Hiền Lương took the chance to thank state authorities at all levels for creating favorable conditions for religious practices in pagodas and temples of the Buddhist association, and thanked the Home Affairs Ministry and the GCRA for their due attention and guidance for the legal recognition of the Buddhist association.
The Hieu Nghia Ta Lơn Buddhism was established by Rev. Nguyễn Ngọc An in Kien Luong town of Kien Giang province in 1915, and the Buddhist association currently has the two-level organizational structure including the Executive Council and the management board of pagodas and temples in provinces and cities.
