Hanoi inaugurates Dang Giang Mosque

On April 5 2014, Management Board of Caodai Dang Giang parish held a ceremony to inaugurate its new mosque in Hoa Phu commune, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyễn Đắc Tuấn, Director of Department of Caodai Affairs of Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Nguyễn Hồng Dân, Vice – President of Ung Hoa District People’s Committee and representatives from authorities in the locality. On the side of the Church there were Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh, Head of Executive Council of the Caodai Tay Ninh Church and over 1,000 dignitaries, deacons and followers.

The Caodai Dang Giang parish established in 1946 at Dang Giang village. In 2007, the parish was granted an area of 800 m2 by the provincial authorities at An Nam Hoa 01 Street, Dang Giang village. The land is quite large, so the Dang Giang parish asked the Caodai Tay Ninh Church and Hanoi city’s government for permission to build a new mosque with Holy See model. The groundbreaking ceremony for its new mosque started on May 15, 2008

Speaking at the ceremony, Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh noted the efforts of Management Boards, dignitaries, deacons and followers throughout the country in building the mosque. He expressed his hope that dignitaries, deacons and followers of the Caodai Dang Giang parish will continue to promote religious activities and social charity works in the locality, observe the guidelines and policies of the Party and State.
