On occasion of 71st anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army, Gia Lam district’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) city held a requiem for heroic martyrs in Dao Xuyen pagoda in Hanoi city.
Attending the event were Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council cum Head of Hanoi city’s VBS Executive Committee Thích Bảo Nghiêm, monks, nuns from the VBS Executive Committee from northern provinces, representatives of local authorities and about 1,000 Buddhists and veterans across the country.
During the requiem ceremony, Buddhists and delegates offered incense and prayers for the heroic martyrs and people killed during the national liberation cause.
