On August 26th, 2014, at the People’s Committee office in Dai Thinh commune (Me Linh district, Hanoi city) the Organizing Board of the Program for Buddhist Parents Day Festival for Buddhists and Businessman presented 40 gift boxes to children with disabilities in 18 communes in Me Linh district.
Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council, Director of VBS Information and Communications Committee, Head of the Organizing Board of the Program for Buddhist Parents Day Festival for Buddhists and Businessman; Ms. Trần Thị Minh Phương - Chairman of Hanoi Association for Saving the Children with Disabilities; Mr. Nguyễn Quý Cẩn - Deputy Head of Labour, Invalids and Social Division in Me Linh district; together with 40 children with disabilities and their parents.
At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang said, from a wish to bring love to life and bring happiness to the unfortunate, the Program was conducted with the aim to alleviate suffering by children with disabilities
