The Charitable and Social Action Committee (Caritas) under Hanoi Archdiocese held the 3rd congress with the theme “Charity and Missionary” on August 24-25 at St. Joseph Major Seminary in Hanoi.
The event saw the attendance of Cardinal Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn, Bishop Chairman of Caritas Vietnam Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu, members of Caritas Vietnam and representatives of Caritas from the archdiocese’s deaneries.
The two-day congress reviewed performances of the Hanoi Caritas in the past five years and approved working plans for the next three years. In addition, the participants also engaged in exchanges and discussion of experiences in social and charitable activities, as well as proposed working guidelines for the archdiocese’ parishes in the coming time.
