Hang pagoda in Ha Tinh province

08/19/2020

Hong Linh mountain range is located in Ha Tinh province in the north central region of Vietnam. The mountain range famously has 99 peaks with many valuable relics having existed throughout the development history of the province. Several relic sites have been renovated, including Hang pagoda located in the province’s Hong Linh district.

Hang pagoda has been discovered by local people in 1980s inside a cave of Mong Ga mountain of Hong Linh mountain range, and up to now, no one found any records about the history of the pagoda so far.

After over 20 years of renovation, the pagoda currently is a unique architectural complex with many worshipping places, such as a Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva statue ground, Amitabha Buddha and Three Jewels halls, and sanctums for worshipping Mother Goddess, Bodhisattva and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva.

The pagoda was recognized as the province-level historical and cultural relic site on August 12, 2016.
