This was part of a plan of the Culture, Sport and Tourism Ministry on the organization of the Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage week 2022 in the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism located in Son Tay district of Hanoi.
The chain of events aimed to honor, preserve and promote values of cultural heritage of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identities, ahead of the 92nd anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18) and the 77th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
As planned, the Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage week 2022 includes five groups of events including the opening ceremony, the great national unity festival in the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, the 1st festival of Northern ethnic minorities’ costumes, the National Wrestling Championship 2022, and recreating festivals, customs and habits of ethnic groups, etc.
In particular, the opening ceremony of the Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage week 2022 and the 1st festival of Northern ethnic minorities’ costumes will take place on November 18 at the floating stage of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
