Former State President Trương Tấn Sang visited on July 24 General Ly Thuong Kiet temple in Bac Ninh province’s Yen Phong district.
During the visit, the former President offered incense to pay respects to the general and wrote in the memorial book.
Lý Thường Kiệt was a brilliant Vietnamese general and admiral during the Ly dynasty. The Ly Thuong Kiet relic project with 20 constructing items in Yen Phong district’s Tam Giang commune was approved by the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee for the 2016 – 2020 period with the total investment of over VND 254 billion. So far, the main worshipping temple dedicated to general Lý Thường Kiệt and a bronze statue of the general have been completed.
