The Representative Committee of the Islamic Community in Tay Ninh province held on November 17 the opening ceremony of the 5th course of Islamic tenets at Nourul Ehsan mosque in the province’s Tan Chau district.
Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Islamic representative committee Haji Chàm Sá, representatives of the provincial Religious Affairs Committee and Vietnam Father Land Front Committee, and about 500 Islamic followers.
The 5th nine-month course covering basic knowledge about the Qur'an, Islam tenets and rituals drew 88 participants who are children from Tay Ninh and neighbouring provinces.
Prior to the ceremony, the representative committee reviewed and presented certificates of completion to 64 participants of the 4th training course.
