Plei Bong Phun Church under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) in Gia Lai province’s Chu A commune celebrated its 50th founding anniversary at a ceremony held on October 8.
The event saw the presence of Pastor Vice President of the ECVN Phan Vĩnh Cự, Pastor in charge of pastoral affairs in Gia Lai Siu Tum, members of the ECVN’s representative committee in Gia Lai, representatives of local authorities, and a large number of followers from Plei Bong Phun and neighboring Chapters of ECVN.
Evangelicalism came to Chu A commune in 1969 and Plei Bong Phun Church received the legal entity recognition in 2006. The Church currently has 2,112 members with a new worshipping church completed in 2009.
