A training conference on environmental protection, climate change adaptation was held on August 30 by Ben Tre provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee and Department of Natural Resources and Environment for local religious dignitaries.
Attending the conference included officials of Ben Tre provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee and Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and 100 religious dignitaries representing including Buddhism, Catholism, Protestantism, Buu Son Ky Huong, Tu An Hieu Nghia, Minh Su faith, Hoa Hao Buddhism and Pure-Land Buddhist Association and sects of Caodaism.
During the conference, training participants learnt about current environmental situation in Ben Tre province, Law on environmental protection, and the action program of Ben Tre authorities for active response to climate change and enhancing resource management and environmental protection.
The conference contributed to promote role of dignitaries, deacons and followers in environmental protection and climate change adaptation./.
