The Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (North) held on December 8 a grand out-door ceremony to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of Reformation Day.
Attending the event taking place in Hanoi’s Quan Ngua Stadium were Pastor President of the ECVN's Executive Committee Nguyễn Hữu Mạc, Pastor President and CEO of the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPIR) and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Franklin Graham and a large number of Protestant followers in Vietnam and from foreign countries.
State guests at the Protestant ceremony included Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng and representatives from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and municipal authorities.
On the occasion, the ECVN presented 500 wheelchairs as well as 50,000 USD to the municipal authorities for building charitable houses.
