Dong Nai province: Dinh Quan district VBS Executive Board holds congress for 2016 – 2021 tenure

On March 29-30, Dinh Quan district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Board in Dong Nai province held the general congress for 2016 – 2021 tenure at Phap Quang pagoda.
This is the first district-level Buddhist congress for the term 2016 – 2021 held in Dong Nai province.
Attending the congress included Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Minh Chánh, members of Dinh Quan district VBS Executive Board and followers in the district.
Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Lê Đình Thảo and Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thanh Hùng were amongst local authorities at the event.
The congress elected 19 members to the new-term Executive Board of the district VBS with Venerable Thích Đồng Ngạn as the Board Chairman

During the event, one collective and 13 individuals were praised by local authorities for their practical contributions in the patriotic movement to the period 2011- 2016.
