The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in the southern province of Tra Vinh held on October 24 a meeting on preparations of the district-level VBS congress in the remaining districts of Chau Thanh, Cau Ngang, Duyen Hai, Tra Cu, Tieu Can, Cau Ke and Duyen Hai.
The meeting has approved organization plans of the district-level VBS congress in these districts, including the number of personnel to be elected to the district-level VBS executive boards and timing of the congresses in the remaining months of 2021.
Specifically, the district-level VBS congress in the remaining districts will be held from late October to early December 2021.
Addressing the meeting, Most Venerable Thạch Sok Xane, Vice President of the VBS’s Central Executive Committee cum Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Tra Vinh province, asked the district-level VBS executive board in the remaining district to early complete preparations for the district-level VBS congress in these districts, and well observe Covid-19 prevention measures as regulated.
