The Bishopric Office of Da Nang Diocese sent on July 26 a notification to its parishes in Da Nang asking for suspension of masses held with large gatherings from 13h00 of the 26th of July until a new notice released.
Accordingly, only wedding masses or funeral ceremonies and with the presence of relatives only would be held by priests at churches of parishes and communities.
In the meantime, the media board of the diocese will transmit online masses presided by the diocese bishop.
The Da Nang Diocese’s notice is an active response for implementing the Prime Minister’s Directive No 19 on measures for nCov prevention and control given the outbreak of the pandemic in Da Nang City, which also requests the suspension of religious festivals and ceremonies, and gatherings of more than 30 people.
