On November 12, 2014, Dak Nong provincial Buddhist Executive Committee announced the official establishment of the VBS’ Dak Song district Executive Committee under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)
The announcement was made at a ceremony held at Buu Thanh pagoda in Duc An town of Dak Song district. Attending the ceremony were Venerable Thích Quảng Tuấn, Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee, Venerable Thích Quảng Hiền, Vice-Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee and representatives from the provincial and district VBS’s Executive Committees.
State guests at the ceremony included Mr. Nguyễn Phước Hiền, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Khánh, Vice-Chairman of the Dak Song district People’s Committee and representing from local authorities.
At the ceremony, Venerable Thích Quảng Nhã, Chief Secretary of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee announced the Decision on establishment of the district VBS’s Executive Committee and its personnel. The VBS’s Dak Song district Executive Board comprises 21 members led by Venerable Thích Quảng Đức as its chairman.
