Buôn Êbung Protestant Church in Cư Kuin district, Đăk Lăk province held a ceremony on September 8 to appoint Evangelist Y-Phong Niê as its Superintendent.
The ceremony was presided by Pastor Võ Thành Phê from the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South), and attended by Protestant dignitaries and followers inside and outside the locality. Representatives of the provincial authorities also joint the event.
During the appointment ceremony, pastor Võ Thành Phê delivered a preaching on responsibilities of pastoral guiders. He also read the superintendent appointment decision, handed over the official seal and initiated prayers for new Superintendent Y-Phong Niê.
It’s reported that Buôn Êbung Protestant Church is currently home to about 3,000 Protestant followers.
