On April 12, at Da Nang Cathedral church, a ceremony was held for new Bishop of Da Nang diocese Joseph Đặng Đức Ngân officialy taking his charge.
The ceremony saw the attendance of large numbers of priests and followers in the diocese.
Bishop Joseph Đặng Đức Ngân was born on June 16, 1957 in Hanoi city. Before appointed as Bishop of Da Nang Diocese, he served many important positions including Secretary of Hanoi Archdiocese, Secretary of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam; Vicar General of Hanoi Diocese, Bishop of Lang Son - Cao Bang Diocese, etc.
