Correction-Path Caodai Church reviews six-month work

The Correction-Path Caodai Church reviewed its performance in the first six months of 91st religious year at a meeting held on May 17 at Ben Tre Holy See in Ben Tre city.

Attending the meeting were Principal Archbishop Chairman of the Church’s Standing Committee Thượng Tấn Thanh, Principal Archbishops Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee Thái Thuận Thanh and Ngọc Phụ Thanh and 96 delegates from the Representative Committees in provinces and cities across the country.

Local guests at the event included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, the provincial Public Security and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The reviewing meeting highlighted the Church’s achievements recorded in the first six months 2016. Accordingly, there have been 471 new converts; over 19,000 Caodai dignitaries and followers attending doctrinal classes; six oratories inaugurated and nearly five billion VND contributed to social and charitable activities.

Speaking at the conference, Head of Religious Affairs Department under the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Võ Văn Hai spoke highly of achievements obtained by the Church in the first six months. He also urged the Church to encourage followers to proactively join in the election of members of the National Assembly and People’s Council for the 2016-2021 tenure.

On this occasion, the Church presented certificates of merit to nine groups and five individuals for their outstanding contributions to religious affairs of the Church in the first six months.
