Hung Long pagoda located in Ninh Binh city’s Ninh Nhat district held a ground-breaking ceremony to construct its main worshipping hall on February 1.
The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Thích Thanh Đàm, Senior Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Thọ Lạc, Senior Venerable Vice Chairman cum Secretary of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee cum Abbot of the pagoda Thích Minh Quang, and large numbers of monks, nuns and followers in Ninh Nhat district.
Distinguished guests at the event included Senior Lieutenant General Deputy Minister of Public Security Bùi Văn Nam, Secretary of Ninh Binh provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh and Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn.
