The congregation of Xuan Loc Lovers of Holy Cross received the official registration at a solemn ceremony held on March 13 at its headquarters in Dong Nai province’s Bien Hoa city.
Attending the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn, Priest former chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee in the province Trân Xuân Thảo, nuns representing the congregation and representatives of local authorities.
During the ceremony, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn handed over the registration certificate to Nun Nguyễn Thị Phượng, Head of the congregation of Xuan Loc Holy Cross Lovers. The GCRA leader also praised the congregation’s efforts in social-charitable activities, especially in the fields of primary education and medial care in the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nun Nguyễn Thị Phượng expressed her belief that the handed registration would surely facilitate the congregation’s efforts for making more practical contributions to the society. She also took the chance to thank state authorities for their support and favorable conditions extended to the congregation of holy cross lovers headquartered in Xuan Loc.
Currently, the congregation of Xuan Loc Holy Cross Lovers operates in Ho Chi Minh City and provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau, with 13 sub-congregations.
